A Look at Anna Wintour's Kids: Beautiful Long-Haired Daughter and Handsome Son in Glasses
The British editor's children took different roads in life. They built their own families and chose careers outside their mother's field. Years later, after each said "I do" to their respective spouses in their mother's iconic home, here's what they look like now.
British-American media executive Anna Wintour shares a son and a daughter with her first husband, David Shaffer, a physician. The couple was married from 1984 to 1999.

While her children took different career paths, they have appeared with her at several major events. Take a closer look at the lives of Vogue's editor-in-chief's handsome son and beautiful, long-haired daughter.
Charles Shaffer
Anna and David's son, Charles, was born in July 1985 and is the oldest of their two children. In June 2014, at age 28, he married his longtime partner, Elizabeth Cordry, at his mother's 42-acre country estate. She was working at the time as associate director of product development at Jet.com.

The wedding was planned by West Coast Vogue editor Lisa Love, who ensured the celebration ran smoothly, and the couple headed to the Rockies for their honeymoon the following day.

Charles met Elizabeth while they were both students at Oxford University. He later earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in psychiatry from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2016.

Following his graduation and wedding, Charles embraced fatherhood with joy. In March 2017, he and Elizabeth welcomed their first daughter, Caroline, a moment the new mother shared on social media.

Two years later, their family grew again with the arrival of their second daughter, Ella Rose. Though the psychiatrist tends to keep his private life out of the spotlight, he has occasionally been seen with his mother at major events, including the Met Gala.

Bee Shaffer
Bee Shaffer, whose full name is Katherine Shaffer, was born in July 1987. She is Anna and David's only daughter and the youngest of their two children.

Back in January 2008, while finishing her final year at Columbia, Bee was unsure about what would come next. At the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, she said:
"I finish in May, and I'm really nervous about the fact nobody's hiring right now. I think everyone's going to have trouble finding a job. I know a lot of people graduating early, and they can't get anything."

When asked about her plans, she replied, "I don't know. I think I'm going to take the summer off and then go from there." As for working at her mother's well-known magazine, she added, "Oh, God, no. I'm staying far away from Vogue." Meanwhile, Anna didn't seem concerned. "As far as Bee is concerned," the London native stated, "no, not worried at all."

Although Bee made it clear she had no plans to join Vogue, her thoughts on fashion made that even more obvious. "I'm not that interested in fashion," she once said in an interview, adding:
"I'm not very fashion forward. I'm 5' 5" and have huge boobs. I'm not gonna wear the same thing as Karlie Kloss!"

Rather than follow in her mother's footsteps in the world of style, she chose a different path. Though Bee has appeared at events like the 2023 Met Gala, she works in television and film. She spent time as a segment producer on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" and now works as a film producer.

Her husband, Francesco Carrozzini, also works in the entertainment industry. He is a director and photographer whose past projects include music videos for Beyoncé, A$AP Rocky, and Nicki Minaj.

After settling into their work in film and television, Bee and Francesco took a big step in their personal lives. In July 2018, the couple tied the knot at Anna's Long Island home, followed by a second ceremony in Portofino, Italy.

That same day, they quietly visited the grave of Francesco's mother, Franca Sozzani, the late editor of Italian Vogue. Franca had passed away in December 2016 after facing lung cancer. During the visit, Francesco wore jeans and a T-shirt, while Bee remained in her gown without the veil.

Their relationship became public in 2016, though reports later suggested they had been together for some time before then. Soon after their wedding celebrations, Bee and Francesco started their family. In October 2021, they welcomed a baby boy named Oliver Sozzani.

A few weeks later, Bee shared the happy news with three sweet photos on Instagram, giving the world a small glimpse into their new life as parents. Following the birth of Bee's child, it was revealed that the global chief content officer of Condé Nast doesn't go by a traditional grandmother name — her grandchildren call her "Anna."

When she's not announcing special moments online, Bee also takes time to revisit memories from years past. In May 2023, she posted a photo of herself wearing a light pink gown with a black top and soft floral details near the bottom. In the caption, she wrote, "17 years later… what a treat to wear this beautiful dress again!"

The moment held special meaning, as the gown was the same one she wore back in 2006. The piece came from the Chanel Spring 2006 couture collection.

The post quickly gathered warm responses. One person wrote, "Shockingly beautiful. Sharp intake of breath and then a sigh! My goodness what a spectacular gown. She is so very beautiful in gentle and wavy ways [sic]."

Another praised her elegance, "Bee, you are a classic and timeless beauty. The gown is lovely. I've always admired your quiet elegance and style. You really are American royalty."

Other comments were just as heartfelt. "Stunning..so elegant," one read, while another stated, "Beautiful" with a heart and raised hands emoji. A short message added, "You're even more beautiful now, and someone else called her "Gorgeous" with a surprised emoji. Many summed it up in one word, "Stunning."

Bee has spoken about the habits she picked up from her mother over the years. In Teen Vogue's online series "Breakfast with Bevan," she shared that she learned to go to bed early, wake up early, and always be on time. Bee added:
"I do not understand people who are late. It's so easy to be on time."

Bee explained that her mother became more widely known after the release of "The Devil Wears Prada." While some described Anna as cold, Bee viewed her as deeply generous — someone who always puts others before herself.

She described her mother as efficient, easily bored, and focused on completing tasks. To Bee, being a strong leader who gives direction was simply part of who Anna is. Along with praising her mother's work ethic, Bee also mentioned her playful side.

She once joked about living in Los Angeles and trying new things. Bee said she didn't enjoy yoga or talk about energy, but she did start drinking green juice. Her mother teased her about it, saying, "You're so LA, with your kale!" Later, Anna would even call and ask, "How's the kale?"

Outside of fashion, Anna has a range of interests. Though she may not prefer one movie genre over another, she is known to enjoy Harry Styles's music.
She also stays connected to many big names and can take a call from Anne Hathaway, Coco Gauff, or Gigi Hadid without notice. As for her signature sunglasses, they are Chanel — and she owns more than she can count.

In addition to her sense of humor and busy schedule, Anna has always kept her private life out of the spotlight. She was married to American futurist Shelby Bryan from 2004 to 2020, though she rarely shares personal matters with the public.

Anna Wintour's children, Charles and Bee, chose paths outside the fashion world, but still share a close bond with their mother. Charles became a doctor and started a family, while Bee works in film and enjoys a quiet family life.

Both siblings have appeared with Anna at high-profile events over the years. Despite her powerful role in the fashion world, Anna remains a proud mother and grandmother. Her personal side, though often hidden, shows through in the stories shared by those closest to her.
