LL Cool J's wife shares sweet photo and loving note as the rapper turns 51

LL Cool J turned 51 recently. To celebrate his birthday, his wife shared a sweet photo, shown below, with a loving note on Instagram.

Simone Smith, LL Cool J's loving wife took to Instagram recently to wish him happy birthday. Next, to a picture of the star, she wrote a loving tribute to her husband.

The couple, who celebrated their 23rd anniversary not too long ago, has never shied away from showing their love for each other. Simone wrote a paragraph long tribute before wishing her husband a happy birthday.

"Mr. Smith, May the favor of the Almighty GOD be upon you this special day and everyday. This is the season of GREATER so CLAIM it and EXPECT it!! We serve an awesome GOD who is WORTHY to be PRAISED ??HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!! I love you" wrote Simone in her tribute.

In the pic, LL Cool J is dressed in grey with a matching hat. He was captured blowing warm air into his hands.

The stunning image was taken through a window. It got over 22 000 likes in twenty-two hours and fans flooded the comments with wishes for the rapper.

"Happy belated birthday to one of the most handsome legends~LL Cool J. Black definitely don't crack. Keep jingling baby....go head baby!!!" said one excited fan.

Last year, the loving couple went all out for their 23rd anniversary. They wore identical outfits and showed off how in sync they are. The rapper’s wife used the lyrics from his song "Candy Girl" to dedicate a sweet post to her husband.

The couple had met when they were teenagers. A friend set them up in the early ’80s and by 1995 they were madly in love and married.

They share four children and a grandson. However, it wasn't always happy sailing and they've faced their share of tribulations.

In 2004, Simone was diagnosed with bone cancer. She had discovered a lump on her leg and had went to the doctor to get it checked. The couple admitted that though it was tough, the experience made them even closer to each other.
