Meghan Markle is called a ‘fat lady’ for her pregnant belly, and her reaction is hilarious

The Duchess of Sussex proved that she had a sense of humor when someone called her a "fat lady."

The 37-year-old Megan Markle visited an animal charity in Mayhew in North London, as part of royal duties as patron. The adorable video can be viewed below.

She wore a champagne-colored Armani coat over a $35 H&M Mama maternity dress for the occasion and completed the outfit with matching heels.

Since becoming a royal, Meghan made headlines for her signature bun, but for this appointment, she wore her long tresses down.

Richard Palmer, a royal correspondent for the Daily Express in London, shared a video clip on Twitter in which Meghan can be seen greeting the staff.

Apart from discussing the importance of therapy animals, Meghan also shared with the women that she is currently six months pregnant.

One of the woman seemed delighted to meet the duchess, and told Meghan that she was "a lovely day" and "may the good Lord always bless you."

The woman then added: "And you're a fat lady!" Meghan didn't skip a beat. She laughed heartily and replied: "I'll take it!"

Animal welfare is an issue close to Meghan's heart. She has two rescue dogs: Guy, her beloved beagle, and a new black lab she rescued with Harry.

Apart from discussing the importance of therapy animals, Meghan also shared with the women that she is currently six months pregnant.

After her visit to the animal charity, Meghan watched "Totem" – a Cirque du Soleil performance – with Prince Harry.

Meghan and Duchess Catherine had back-to-back appointments on Wednesday. While Meghan was visiting the animal shelter, Kate did her duty at the Royal Opera House.
