Miley Cyrus breaks her silence on pregnancy rumors by asking to be left alone
Miley Cyrus shut down rumors that she and Liam Hemsworth are expecting a child.
The 26-year-old responded to Daily Mail's false report on Twitter with her own headline-making tweet.
The singer even posted a comedic picture of herself to exaggerate her point and give people something to look at.
Cyrus posted a picture of herself with her locks out and wearing a pair of sunglasses. She had on a tropical-style green shirt with shorts underneath.
Where Cyrus' belly would be, she had edited a large brown egg onto the picture. A mouth with its tongue sticking out, presumably hers, was on the egg.
In the caption, Cyrus wrote:
"I'm not 'Egg-xpecting' but it's 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so 'Happy For Us' ... we're happy for us too! 'Egg-cited' for this next chapter in our lives... Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg."
Words of support littered the rest of the comment section from the post. Most encouraged Cyrus to "tell 'em" regarding the made up rumor.
Cyrus and Hemsworth got married on December 23 with an intimate ceremony in their Tennessee home.
A few days later, Cyrus shared some black and white photos of her in her wedding dress and Hemsworth in his tux.
She captioned them: “12.23.18” and “10 years later …..” Alongside a picture of the two kissing she wrote: This is probably our one-millionth kiss."
Their on and off relationship began back in 2009 when the pair met while filming "The Last Song."
Their 2012 engagement was canceled months after the announcement. It wasn't until 2016 that they rekindled their love.
Since then, the couple has been sharing sweet photos of their enduring love on social media.
Recently, Cyrus shared a lengthy post expressing her feelings for her husband as he celebrated his 29th birthday.
It began:
"When we met you were 19, Today, you are 29... I thought I could share some of my favorite things about my favorite dude in honor of this very special day."
She continued:
"The way you look at me, The way you look at our dogs... our pigs, our horses, our cats, our fish. The way you look at your family... Your friends... At Strangers... At Life."
Cyrus went on by mentioning other small things she appreciates about Hemsworth. She ended with a message of how much she loves him.
