Miley Cyrus dazzles in $2,489 sequined mini-dress while paying emotional tribute to a late musician

During a tribute show to the late Chris Cornell, Miley Cyrus delivers a stand out performance during a touching rendition of the Temple of Dog classic, ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven.’

At the Forum in Los Angeles, top performers took to the stage on January 16 for Chris Cornell’s tribute show, ‘I Am The Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell.

Cornell committed suicide in May 2017 and got honored by the tribute concert on January 16. Performances from Adam Levine, Metallica, Ryan Adams, Fiona Apple, the Foo Fighters, and Cornell’s former band Soundgarden lined the stage while Miley added to the tribute as she sang three covers of Cornell’s songs.

Apart from ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven,’ Miley also sang ‘Two Drink Minimum’ and ‘Wave Goodbye.’ Her rendition of ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven’ moved the crowd as their cheers and whistles of approval carried on until the end when they erupted with applause.

The newlywed rocked two outfits for the evening, an $2,489 Alexandre Vauthier glittering purple ruched mini dress that she wore during her rendition of ‘Say Hello 2 Heaven.’ The second outfit for the evening was flared black leather pants with a white graphic Chris Cornell sweatshirt.

Earlier that day, the media spread rumors that Miley and Liam Hemsworth were expecting their first baby. But in true Miley style humor, she put a quick stop to the gossip. She posted a reply along with a picture that read:

"I’m not ' Egg-expecting' but it’s 'Egg-celent' to hear everyone is so ' Happy For Us' .... we’re happy for us too! 'Egg-cited' for this next chapter in our lives.... Now, can everyone leave me alone and go back to staring at an egg."

The picture features an image of herself overlayed with an Insta-egg on her stomach; it even had a tongue sticking out of its mouth, referring to Miley’s signature pose.

Miley and Liam got married on December 23 last year in a private ceremony held at Miley’s Tennessee home. The singer told Entertainment Tonight in November that they do talk about “kids all the time, but they are in no rush.”

The custom Vivienne Westwood gown looked stunning on Miley, and was made of ivory silk and featured a draped off the shoulder neckline. Liam looked handsome in his suit and sneakers. The couple kept their nuptials private, and only family and select friends attended.

On December 27, Miley posted an endearing black and white picture of her with her parents on her wedding day, as they smilingly stood on either side of her under a flower-covered arch.

Miley’s mum, Trish posted the color version of the picture to her Instagram account where she proudly boasted with the caption, “This makes my heart so happy.”

They seem to be just as happy as they finally tied the knot after ten years together.
