Miley Cyrus poses with proud parents in sweet wedding photo looking like a carbon copy of her mom

Longtime couple Miley Cyrus Liam Hemsworth finally tied the knot shortly before Christmas, and Miley looked beautiful as she posed with her mum Trish and dad Billy Ray.

Newlywed Miley took to Twitter on December 27 to post a sweet snap in black and white of her with her parents on her wedding day, as they posed in front of a flower covered arch.

Mum Tish also posted the color version of the picture to her own Instagram account and proudly boasted with a caption that plainly read, “This makes my heart so happy.” Billy Ray followed suit and captioned it on Twitter:

"Congratulations @MileyCyrus and @LiamHemsworth! Long live love!"

According to sources close to the couple, marriage became a constant topic of conversation, as people always asked when they were going to tie the knot. So the couple finally decided to make it official during a small intimate ceremony after almost a decade together.

Wanting to keep their impromptu plans a secret they did some quick planning to make arrangements for their wedding to be held at their Tennessee home among the people most important to them.

A Williamson County Clerk spokesperson in Tennessee confirmed that the couple indeed applied for a marriage license, but is still going through the approval process.

The new Mrs. Hemsworth’s future sister in law, Stella McBride, shared her joy for the couple with a slideshow of photos from the wedding that she captioned:

“Nothing better than celebrating love & family over the holidays with my favorite wedding date.”

The first picture shows Stella and Miley’s brother, Braison Cyrus posed under a balloon and flower arrangement standing arm in arm, followed by a snap of the newly engaged couple smiling broadly. The last shot features the couple in front of a huge Christmas tree looking every bit the happy couple.

Brandi, Miley’s older sister excitedly shared the news on her Instagram Stories as she wrote a caption to a beautiful picture of the newlywed couple:

“Secrets out!! So happy for you guys! Been a long time comin’. Love you both.”

Later on, during the day Miley posted a video where she danced to the Bruno Mars hit, ‘Uptown Funk’ showcasing some signature moves while having a blast with now-husband Liam.

The short clip shows off her Miley’s Vivienne Westwood gown as Liam can be seen popping in and out of frame in his tux, minus the jacket has they both have fun during the reception.

The couple first met way back in 2009, when they worked together on the set of ‘The Last Song,’ where they played two teenagers in love.

The chemistry soon developed into more than a working relationship and grew close in a short time. By March. 2010, the couple made their first debut on the red carpet as a couple.

Their relationship went through its rocky patches, and now they have finally tied the knot. Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
