Julianne Hough flaunts raw makeup-free face comparing it to her ‘fake tan’ years

Julianne Hough posted her take on the 10-year challenge recently. Unlike most other celebrities, the famous dancer opted for a more candid look.

The Instagram photo is a 180-degree turn from her 10-year-old picture, which shows off the 30-year-old with a fake tan and bleach blonde hair.

In July, the two-time "Dancing with the Stars" champion celebrated her birthday. She truly made her mark before turning 30.

“You gotta start somewhere I guess… Bleach blonde hair, fake tan, all the make up [sic], sequins galore, basically ‘trying’ to look 10 years older," Hough wrote. She added:

"Isn’t that funny how we are always trying to look older when we are young?! The past 10 years have been all about removing the idea of who I thought I was supposed to be, and uncovering the essence of who I am. I’ve learned how to just be me. My natural, raw, unapologetic self. #10YearChallenge."

Hough's fans couldn’t get enough of her genuineness. The snapshot has amassed over 398,000 likes on Instagram at the time of writing.

"Gorgeous on the right! Natural is the best," one user wrote.

"So appreciate this post n ur genuineness which is a rare find these days esp on social media [sic]," added another.

Another user commented: "Amazing message; especially hopeful that it reaches our teenage girls [sic]."

Hough, who was nominated for a Creative Arts Primetime Emmy in 2007 for Outstanding Choreography in season five of "Dancing with the Stars," has successfully transitioned from being a dancer to a singer, and an actress.

In 2008, she released her debut country album, which snagged the top spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

She was picked to star in the film remake of "Footloose" in 2011. The film was her first leading acting role.

Later this year, Hough will appear in an episode of "Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings," an anthology television series which is set to debut on Netflix.
