Musician Michael Bublé probably didn't know what he would be getting himself into by appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Friday, January 18. The show was to tease the Super Bowl ad about the Pepsi Co-owned sparkling water brand Bubly, which he starred in for no reason other than the word Bubly being similar to Bublé.

During the show, Bublé agreed to pull a hidden camera prank suggested by Ellen; he was to act like a goofy cashier at a grocery store. In what was an unexpected moment for the singer, the first customer turned out to be a Modern Family star, Eric Stonestreet; it led to an awkward moment between the two celebrities.

The multiple Grammy Award winner however later got a chance to serve a real shopper, Teny Abedian who fell for the prank. Abedian was thrown entirely off when Bublé began to make ‘beep-boop' noises, trying to imitate the scanner.

He then challenged her to a drinking contest, competing with her to finish a can of Bubly; tried to steal her credit card details, but Teny refused when Bublé asked for her ATM card pin.

When Abedian was about to leave the store, the 43-year-old revealed himself, and she was understandably shocked. The young lady was then invited back to the show, along with Eric, where Bublé revealed that he thought he was being counter-pranked by the actor's appearance.

‘I thought you were punking me for sure. My eyes got so big, and I thought, 'Oh no, they're doing it to me!' - Bublé said on getting back to the show.

Stonestreet on his part revealed that he felt like he crashed a party. Abedian was then surprised by a gift of $1,000 courtesy of Bubly.

Bublé has had a fantastic career as a singer. He has won four Grammy Awards, sold more than 60 million records worldwide and released his own multi-platinum-selling Christmas album, Christmas, in 2011.

He is especially grateful for his upbringing, particularly how families approached holiday periods while growing up; helped him in his career. During Christmas, Bing Crosby's Merry Christmas album was usually repeatedly played, which is the reason why his soul is well connected to the Great American Songbook.

Rumors had once been rife about the four-time Grammy award winner's retirement when he took a little break from his career in 2016 to care for his young son, Noah; diagnosed with liver cancer. His son is now cancer-free and entirely healthy, but Bublé clarified the rumor; he never considered retirement and is excited about his career as ever.
