Drake fans go crazy after he allegedly tips 2 McDonald’s workers $20K. It turned out to be far less

Drake stuns two McDonald's employees (and the rest of the world) after he tipped them $100 each. There was a slight commotion over the actual amount which was originally reported as $10K.

Two female employees of McDonald’s were $100 dollars richer after Drake visited the establishment and handed them the generous tip.

The news was first reported after a misleading tweet revealed the employees received an outrageous $10K tip each. The man who witnessed the rapper handing out bills to the women wrote,

"Just saw Drake in McDonald's... crazy. He gave two female employees $10,000 each... in cash."

However, it was later clarified by CNN’s Chloe Melas and NBC4’s Kim Baldonado that the amount was, in fact, $100 for each of the women, still quite a generous amount. See their respective tweets to correct the misconception below.

Drake’s generosity caused a frenzy on social media as fans wished they too received a blessing from the singer. They also took pity on the employees of the McDonald’s branch in Los Angeles who didn’t get a tip like their two co-workers.

Drake seemed to confirm his presence in the establishment when he posted a photo of him and a pal at the store’s counter and captioned it “M’s.”

It is a known fact that the singer is a fan of the fast food chain. In October, he treated his fans to McNuggets, French fries and cheeseburgers during an afterparty in a nightclub following his concert at The Forum in Inglewood.

Likewise, Drake’s generosity has also caught the attention of news outlets in the past. When he launched his song “God’s Plan” in February 2018, the track’s video featured him handing out cash and groceries to strangers in Florida. He also gave $200,000 worth of scholarships to students at the University of Miami.

Drake’s generosity isn’t only limited to financial aid. He has also proven before that he’s generous with his time. In August, the singer canceled a concert to visit an 11-year-old fan who had just undergone open heart surgery and wished to meet him on her birthday. Drake obliged and showed up to fulfill the girl’s wish. Delighted by his presence, the little girl named Sofia Sanchez beamed for pictures with her idol and even sang the song “God’s Plan” with him.
