Taraji P. Henson goes undercover as a Lyft driver in baseball hat & dark shades in hilarious video

Taraji P. Henson went undercover as a Lyft driver and chatted with shocked riders as she drove them around Los Angeles. She also made some intimate confessions about her boyfriend during the rides.

To promote her new movie “What Men Want,” Henson became the latest celebrity driver in the “Undercover Lyft” series and succeeded in pulling one over several passengers.

Dressed in a white sweatshirt, a gray baseball hat and oversized dark shades that obscured part of her face, the actress was ready for her task.

“I’m having issues with my boyfriend. I like to look through his phone.”

“Hi! I’m Taraji P. Henson. We are in sunny Los Angeles, California, and we’re about to do an undercover Lyft,” she says. “You think they’ll recognize me?”

Henson then proceeds to pick up passengers. “What do you do?” she asks one female rider. After the woman says she’s into acting and currently in a music video where she has no lines, Henson asks:

“Oh! You gotta twerk? Can you make your booty clap?”

“I mean, I can’t really make it clap like that, like a professional,” the passenger replies.

Then Henson opens up to the woman about her relationship with her boyfriend. Henson and former NFL player Kelvin Hayden got engaged last Mothers’ Day.

“Cardi B making everybody wanna twerk. You know, that almost came in-between me and my boyfriend.”

Channeling the “What Men Want” storyline, Henson pretends to read the minds of some passengers but also confesses to one (who, coincidentally, claims to be a psychic) that she doesn’t know what men want.

“I’m having issues with my boyfriend,” the actress says. “I like to look through his phone, you know?”

Henson adds:

“What does he want? What do men want? I wanna see this one movie that’s getting ready to come out -- What Men Want -- because I really, damn it, I want to know!”

At the end of each ride, Henson introduces herself to the passengers who can’t hide their excitement and shock. She also treats them to a premiere of the movie.

“What Men Want,” which comes to theaters on February 8, is the tale of an often-sidelined female sports agent who gains the ability to hear men’s thoughts.

The movie also stars Tracy Morgan, Erykah Badu, Richard Roundtree, and Max Greenfield.
