NeNe Leakes hugs husband Gregg in new picture, claps back at critics saying that she's selfish

NeNe Leakes, the TV personality best known for “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” took to Instagram to share a photo hugging her husband of two decades.

In the image, the lady was wearing a black ensemble flashing her beautiful smile at the camera while hugging Gregg Leakes. The man was wearing a pale violet shirt and was also smiling for the pic.

For the caption, NeNe wrote, “people think they know, but they have no idea,” followed by the hashtags “our business,” “20 plus years,” “family,” and “life of the Leakes.” According to Celebrity Insider, her caption was her way to clap back at her online detractors.

NENE’S BACKLASH

Unfortunately, the TV star has been getting backlash because she allegedly doesn’t take good care of her husband, who was diagnosed with colon cancer in June 2018.

Even though NeNe has been by his side from the very first time they got the diagnosis, and they also have posted some parts of their journey online, haters kept complaining about NeNe suggesting that she is selfish.

It was not the only photo she has shared trying to calm people down and respond to the backlash, though. In another post, she let her followers know that Gregg was not stuck in bed or hooked to a machine.

The TV personality even pointed out that her husband was out in a casino at the time of sharing that post and asked him to enjoy his time there and take home some money, too.

NEWEST AMBASSADORS FOR THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

In a more recent post, NeNe appeared wearing a beautiful silver dress while Gregg put on a suit. The couple was talking to a reporter and, in the caption, the TV personality revealed that she and her husband were the newest ambassadors for the American Cancer Society.

Well-deserved good news for the couple, who has gone through a lot due to Gregg’s cancer battle. During an episode of “RHOA,” NeNe broke down in tears while explaining how her husband's behavior drastically changed since he got sick.

She admitted that Gregg had been “a grouch,” and that he yelled at her a lot at home. With her husband in the same scene, she made sure to let him know how hurtful it was for her when he acted mean towards her despite her support.

Later, the man took to Instagram to apologize and set clear that he would try to be better for NeNe. Despite their arguments and misunderstandings, the TV personality continues to stand by Gregg throughout this tough time, and it is together that they are riding out such a storm.
