Brooke Shields’ daughter is all grown up and looks so similar to her famously gorgeous mother

Brooke Shields’ 12-year-old daughter clearly inherited the model and actress’s gorgeous looks.

The 53-year-old “Lipstick Jungle” actress shared a photo of herself with daughter Grier Hammond Henchy on Instagram, and their resemblance cannot be denied.

“It’s the least that I can do, the rest is so hard. You don’t want to overprotect them and then they have no armor — so it’s a balance.”

The post drew more nearly 15,000 likes and dozens of comments, mostly praising their beauty.

“You, girls, are so pretty,” one fan commented. “Both beautiful,” another wrote.

Shield and her husband, Chris Henchy, a television writer, are parents to Grier and 15-year-old daughter Rowan Francis.

Shield married Henchy in 2001, following her divorce from tennis player Andre Agassi, to whom she was married for two years.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Shields spoke candidly about her daughters, whom she credited for her healthy self-esteem.

“My daughters have especially helped me feel confident,” said Shield, who landed her first Calvin Klein campaign at age 15.

She also revealed that her daughters would often raid her closet. They also taught her how to use Instagram.

Shields also spoke about how she wants to protect her daughters from the negative consequences of social media.

“My daughter Rowan doesn’t have any of her passwords. She has to ask me to log her in. She’s so mad and embarrassed with her friends, but I’m tough like that,” she said.

She admitted that finding a balance between smart parenting and giving her girls freedom can be tough.

She said: “It’s the least that I can do, the rest is so hard. You don’t want to overprotect them and then they have no armor — so it’s a balance.”

Shields recently modeled a bikini for Power Suit size-inclusive campaign.

She shared the set of the campaign shoot with Ashley Graham and Angela Simmons among others.

The campaign aims to show that all women can look great in a swimsuit, no matter what their size, or their shape.
