Photos of pregnant Meghan Markle on her surprise visit to the US finally spotted in the media
Reports stated that Duchess Meghan flew secretly from London to New York last Friday. The visit was for a surprise five-day trip with her closest friends.
The Royal was visiting to attend a baby shower thrown by her friends to celebrate her 7-month pregnancy.
On Monday night, Duchess Meghan, 37, was seen in New York trying to cover up by wearing a gray cap and black coat. She also wore her hair loosely as if she was trying to go unnoticed.
It’s believed the Royal was in the city to spend time with her girlfriends before the arrival of her first child this spring. She was seen being escorted into an SUV by a Royal protection officer.
It’s believed that the Duchess would be spending five days in the city. Her itinerary included shopping, visiting restaurants, and a baby shower with 15 of her closest friends.
The event was organized by her best friend Jessica Mulroney. The Toronto, Canada resident arrived in New York at the end of last week.
Meghan’s visit marks the first time that she’s been in the city since she married Prince Harry in May last year. She made sure to visit some of her favorite places while in the city.
Mulroney joined the Duchess at Ladurée in SoHo on Saturday to enjoy macaroons and tea. In a past interview with writer Barry Samaha, Meghan praised the restaurant saying: “I love Ladurée in SoHo. It’s like a little slice of Paris in the middle of New York City.”
Sources confirmed that Meghan’s friends were throwing her a baby shower at an undisclosed Upper East Side hotel for 15 guests on Tuesday, the day before she leaves. On Monday, the Royal’s former “Suits” co-star, Abigail Spencer, took to Instagram Stories to reveal that she was traveling.
It’s believed that she may have been headed to New York for the shower.
The private event is expected to be attended by people like Benita Litt, whose daughters Rylan and Remi were in Meghan's bridal party, and TV producer Lindsay Roth, who was the Royal’s maid of honor for at her own wedding.
