Jamie Foxx Reportedly Says He’s ‘Single’ after a 6-Year Hidden Relationship with Katie Holmes

Jamie Foxx reportedly declared himself single at an Oscars event just two months after being seen with girlfriend Katie Holmes.

The actor and singer attended the third annual Entertainment Studio Oscar Gala Supporting Children's Hospital Los Angeles at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on Sunday.

During a 30-minute performance at the event, he spoke about relationships and allegedly offered up his new status as a single man. A source told Us Weekly that he spoke about it very nonchalantly.

The source said:

"While he was referring to married and single couples, he just dropped the line ‘I’m single.’”

Fans are still reeling from the unconfirmed news considering Foxx and Holmes' six-year relationship from since 2013. The pair got together over a year following Holmes' divorce from actor Tom Cruise.

Another source told HollywoodLife:

“Right before he sang, he seemingly told the crowd he’s single. He had a lot of women on stage and danced with them. It appeared he told the crowd, ‘I’m single.’”

The "Dawson's Creek" alum and Foxx spent two years in the closet before the public learned of their romance. Since then, they have always remained secretive about their relationship.

Of course, the media spotted them several times, first flirting, then holding hands and traveling together for birthday celebrations. They were last photographed getting intimate in December 2018 when they kissed on a yacht in Miami. Around the same time, they were seen out on a date in New Orleans.

Holmes has one daughter named Suri from her previous relationship. The "Baby Driver" actor has two daughters from his former loves. Proof that Foxx might again be moving on came later on Sunday night.

While attending a post-Oscars party hosted by Beyonce and Jay-Z, Foxx appeared with 33-year-old actress Jessica Szohr. Foxx was spotted guiding Szohr as they entered West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont.

There were also both seen at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party on the same night, but Szohr was mostly with her model friend Alexis Rupp. Szohr acts in the Fox show "The Orville" where she plays Lieutenant Talla Keyali.

Recently, Foxx cast Szohr in his directorial debut "All-Star Weekend" along with Jeremy Piva, Eva Longoria, Robert Downey Jr., and DJ Khaled.

Rumors of a split between Holmes and Foxx arose in June 2018 and went away just as quickly. In November, it was believed the couple might be planning a secret wedding in Paris when Holmes wore a large ring.

Her representative quickly clarified that the ring was a prop for the movie "The Secret." We anticipate confirmation from either star or their representatives regarding their actual status.
