Story: Young Mother Left 'Crying' after Stranger Insults Her in the Waiting Room of a Clinic
A young mother was outraged after a stranger insulted her while she was feeding her baby at a clinic. She shared the mom-shaming incident on Reddit.
The woman wrote in a now-deleted post that she was at the doctor’s office because her 18-week-old baby girl had a cold. When her baby girl became fussy while they were in the waiting room, the young mother thought she was hungry.
“I've been crying in my car since I left the doctor's office. I say she is an entitled parent because she felt entitled to give her parenting advice to me based on complete assumptions."
She explained that she normally breastfeeds her baby, but in public, she feeds her using a bottle with her pumped milk.

She didn’t expect the reaction of the woman sitting near her.
"ENTITLED MOTHER" GIVING UNSOLICITED ADVICE
“This lady next to me gives me a dirty look,” she wrote.
An exchange ensued:
“Me: problem?

Me: "excuse me?"
EM: "the formula is so bad for them. Are you dumb? This is why kids shouldn't have kids. You don't know what the hell you’re doing and it's pathetic. Really. I should call CYS on you right now."
Me: "(utter shock at what just came out of her mouth) what is wrong with you."
EM: "I really hate to see a child abused. Maybe you should have aborted instead. You know, growing up in a single-mother household is very toxic. And then you go and slowly kill her. She's already too small. When my boys were 1 they were way bigger. She will end up just as pathetic as you."

Me: "Okay lady.
- This is breast milk.
- My daughter is 18 weeks old, so yeah she will be a lot smaller than a one-year-old.
- I'm not a single mother."
EM: "You're only saying that because you're embarrassed."
The young mother said the lady continued to insult her, saying she was a terrible mother and that she should just give up her baby.
“I've been crying in my car since I left the doctor's office. I say she is an entitled parent because she felt entitled to give her parenting advice to me based on complete assumptions. I love my baby very much and she just made me feel horrible," she wrote.
