Kirk Douglas' Granddaughter Is All Grown up and Following in Her Grandpa's Footsteps

Kelsey Douglas is interested in the family business and wants to be a star just like her famous grandfather.

“Spartacus” star Kirk Douglas is 102-years-old and has had a legendary career. He also has been married for 64 years to Anne Buydens. Theirs has been a marriage for keeps with a love story made for the movies. On a recent anniversary celebration, the couple shared how it all began, and the dashing leading man admitted that all the moves he made didn’t get him a chance to take her out on a date. So he felt challenged to try something new and find a way to win her affection. And he succeeded when they married in 1954. They shared their memories, challenges, and triumphs in the book, “Kirk and Anne”.

Together they have two sons, Peter and Eric. Kirk had sons from a previous marriage, Michael and Joel. All the children have chosen careers in Hollywood whether, through acting, stand-up comedy, or television and film producing.

Kirk has a total of 7 grandchildren. And now his granddaughter Kelsey is throwing her hat in the “acting ring”, too.

Her latest project is starring in an indie movie by Penelope Lawson called “1 Night in San Diego”.

She is the eldest child and only girl of Lisa and Peter Douglas. She has three brothers Tyler, Ryan, and Jason.

She treasures time spent with her grandfather who celebrated with his clan on his 102nd birthday. Kelsey’s aunt, movie star Catherine Zeta-Jones who is married to Kirk’s son actor Michael Douglas, posted a touching video to honor her father-in-law on the special occasion.

She captioned her post sweetly with,

“Happy 102nd birthday, to the most beautiful man. We love you, Kirk!”
