Instead of defending his ex-fiancée, the actor “liked” the post. He’s since apologized and called the incident an “accident.”

“Chicago Fire” actor Taylor Kinney, 37, wrote a simple caption to go with his image on Sunday. It was the same day that his ex-fiancée Lady Gaga, 32, was seen intimately performing “Shallow” with her co-star Bradley Cooper from their movie "A Star Is Born."

Kinney’s caption read:

“Stoked to be out with my guy @bbickell and his wife @abickell for the weekend. 29. Good times in Chicago @bickellfoundation cheers @chicagocutsteakhouse.”

Shortly after the actor’s post went up, a fan responded with a comment that read, “Stoked you got away from Gaga. #Hollyweird.” Kinney “liked” the comment.

However, on Wednesday, the actor commented on the photo apologizing for liking the fans response. He wrote, “Sorry for the “like.” It was an accident. I’m only proud and happy for Stef.”

Lady Gaga’s real name is Stefani Germanotta and she was previously engaged Kinney after two were together for five years. In 2016, soon after getting her role in “A Star Is Born,” the couple separated.

Kinney had initially proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2015. Lady Gaga’s fans lashed out at the actor in the comments section of his Instagram.

In July 2016, the musician released a statement saying, “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break.”

In her documentary “Gaga: Five Foot Two,” she was seen crying as she alluded to the fact that her growing career might have contributed to the breakup. Earlier this month, Lady Gaga split from her new fiancé, Christian Carino.

Another ex who came under fire recently was actress and Cooper’s ex-wife, Jennifer Esposito, 45. The “NCIS” actress was attacked after commenting on a post by David Spade.

Spade had jokingly asked if there was “any chance these 2 aren’t [expletive]?” after seeing the passionate 2019 Oscars performance by Lady Gaga and Cooper. Esposito received major backlash for responding “Ha,” in the comments.

Instead of keeping quiet, the actress released a video on Instagram shaming those who had attacked her because they misunderstood her comment.
