Lady Gaga Finally Speaks out on Her Powerful Oscar Performance with Bradley Cooper

On the 2019 Oscars stage, Lady Gaga and her “A Star Is Born” co-star, Bradley Cooper, performed a passionate rendition of their song “Shallow.” Now amid the relationship rumors and curiosity, Lady Gaga has addressed the performance.

On Sunday, Lady Gaga, 32, not only performed with Bradley Cooper, 44, but she also won the award for Best Original Song for “Shallow.”

Speaking about her onstage performance with Cooper, the star shared her views online on Tuesday, when the singer and actress took to social media to call Cooper “a true friend.”

She wrote:

“Nothing could be more special than sharing this moment at the Oscars with a true friend and artistic genius.”

In her post, she included a photo of the pair sitting at the Steinway piano during their performance. The two actors' fans have been enthralled by the chemistry between Lady Gaga and Cooper.

Some people online even wished that their passionate performance had ended with a kiss. However, the two only smiled and hugged each other as they walked off the stage.

Backstage Cooper and Lady Gaga were met with applause from the production staff. Speaking to them, Lady Gaga asked, “Did I nail it?”

Looking at her co-star, the singer said, “I’m so [expletive] proud of you!” During a commercial break, the pair had come out arm-in-arm and received another standing ovation from the audience.

Cooper kissed and hugged his long-term girlfriend and model, Irina Shayk when he got back to his seat. Shayk also congratulated Lady Gaga.

Lady Gaga was engaged to agent Christian Carino but they recently separated.
