The latest news about the show emanated from the second round blind auditions which aired on NBC. Tuesday’s episode saw a very remarkable performance from Katey Bundy.

Her performance was so lovely that Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson turned their chairs at the same time in appreciation and acceptance of Katey. They were however met with a huge surprise. There were three Kateys.

The singer was accompanied by two of her siblings, Megan and Ryan, making them a group of three, which they called The Bundys.

The Bundys who are from Wyoming, Ohio made history on the show. Katey began with the opening lines of Indigo Girls “Closer to Fine,” and her voice blended with those of her siblings. This surprised judges Shelton and Kelly, who did not expect to see three individuals.

When Adam Levine finally turned around to see them, he was not only astonished; he wondered if it was allowed in the show. Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton then battled to claim the trio for their teams with Clarkson getting the nod to coach.

The Voice’s first-ever trio. Some fans of the show were however left unhappy with the decision to allow the sisters to compete on the show, saying it was unfair to have other single contestants competing against three. Many disgruntled fans took to Twitter to air their feelings. The Bundys may not care about all that, as their talent was there for all to see and their performance very captivating.
