Luke Perry's 'Beverly Hills, 90210' Costars Break Silence after Actor Suffers a Massive Stroke
Fellow celebrities have come out to show their support for actor Luke Perry after it was revealed that he’d suffered a stroke. On Thursday, it was reported that the actor was still in the hospital.
Perry’s co-stars from 'Beverly Hills, 90210' took to social media to share their prayers and support for the actor.
On Wednesday, paramedics were called to Luke Perry’s Sherman Oaks, California home at around 9:40 a.m. According to reports, the call came to the fire department for someone who was suffering a stroke.
Subsequently, Perry, 52, was taken to a nearby hospital. The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ actor’s former co-star, Shannen Doherty posted an image on Instagram of the two of them hugging during their time on the teenage drama.
Another former co-star, Ian Ziering, also shared an Instagram image. He captioned his post, “No words can express what my heart feels hearing today's shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery.”
According to Perry’s representative, the actor “is currently under observation at the hospital.” Kristy Swanson, who starred along with Perry in the original “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer” film also offered a prayer for the actor’s wellbeing.
She tweeted:
“I just heard the frightening news about my dear old friend Luke Perry having a massive stroke. Luke Honey I am praying so hard for you right now, I love you so much and by God’s Grace you will get through this. Please pray for Luke.”
Actor Dean Cain, who featured in four episodes of “Beverly Hills, 90210,” tweeted, “Praying hard for Luke Perry today. May he have a full and fast recovery.”
Yvette Nicole Brown also posted on social media writing, “Nope. Hearing this news, I am not okay. NOT okay at all. Please get well soon #LukePerry. Please!”
“The Blast” managed to get the audio of the emergency dispatch call. In the clip, the actor’s address was given by someone who revealed that he had a stroke.
