'The Prodigy' Frontman Keith Flint Found Dead at 49

Keith Flint, famous for hit song "Firestarter" and his wild haircut was found dead at his home. He was only 49-years-old at the time of his death.

The singer behind the song "Firestarter," was found dead at his home earlier today. Police released a statement announcing his death earlier today.

They were still at the scene at his property in Essex when the statement was made. They went on to reveal they are not treating the death as suspicious.

An Essex Police spokesman said, "We were called to concerns for the welfare of a man at an address in Brook Hill, North End, just after 8.10am on Monday. We attended and, sadly, a 49-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

East of England Ambulance service also stated that they responded to a call from the address where a man was found unconscious. He was then pronounced dead at the scene.

In an emotional post from bandmate Liam Howlett on the band's Instagram page, they confirmed that Flint committed suicide. He wrote:

"The news is true, I can't believe I'm saying this but our brother Keith took his own life over the weekend. I'm shell shocked, f****n angry , confused and heart broken."
