Sophia Loren Turns Heads in an Embellished Ivory Gown Which Features a Plunging Neckline
Sophia Loren is changing the perception of getting older as she appeared ageless in a gorgeous white gown for an event last Saturday.
The 84-year-old was just as glamorous as her younger days as she stepped out for the naming ceremony of the MSC Bellissima luxury cruise liner.
Standing at the City Cruise Terminal in Southampton, Loren shone brightly in a heavily sequined white dress and several pieces of jewelry to match. Photos are found below.
The Italian siren's gown featured long sleeves and a low neckline and fell to her feet. Diamonds and glitter dazzled our eyes at the hems of the ensemble.
Loren, a former actress, also wore various pieces of jewelry including a silver and gold choker, a cross necklace, and another necklace with a large embellished flower at the end.
Pearly earrings, a diamond ring, and a colored bracelet on each wrist made the Italian that much more stunning. Donned in a pair of glasses, it was all that showed her age.
The telltale signs were little to none as Loren enjoyed the event with as much vigor as other attendees. Her curled auburn hair was also full of life.
Loren was arguably a great choice as the ribbon cutter to christen the ship. The vessel is the largest of its kind named in the city. Also present to celebrate was "This Morning" host Holly Willoughby.
Carol McGiffin from "Loose Women," her husband Mark Cassidy, and musician Nile Rodgers joined the affair. Famous opera singer Andrew Bocelli and his son Matteo performed at some point of the three-day event.
This isn't the first time the legend has stunned since turning 84. In January 2019, she made an appearance in Beverly Hills for a screening of "Mary Poppins Returns."
Loren wore a blue jacket with matching pants and a chiffon scarf at the time. As usual, the star looked age-defying in her ensemble as she posed for pictures.
The mother of one's career ended not too long ago. Her last film was 2009's "Nine." Over her lifetime, Loren has received one Academy Award and one Grammy win.
