George H.W. Bush’s Granddaughter Ashley Weds a Filmmaker and the Wedding Photos Are Touching

Ashley, 30, granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush and Barbara Bush, married Julian over the weekend at The Contemporary Austin Laguna Gloria in Texas, after a year of courtship.

The romantic outdoor ceremony was officiated by Ashley's older sister, Lauren Bush Lauren. The couple was happy to be surrounded by their friends and family on their special day and this beautiful gift from Lauren touched them deeply.

"More than happy for my beautiful and loving sister Ash and her new husband Jules! It was an honor of a lifetime to officiate his ceremony yesterday," Lauren wrote on Instagram after Saturday's wedding.

"I love you until the moon and back, and I wish you a very happy forever more," added Lauren, a mother of two who is married to Ralph Lauren's son, David. Lauren also shared a picture of the ceremony of the newlyweds as they smiled.

During the wedding, Ashley wore a long-sleeved white lace dress with a matching veil and a pearl headband on her loose curls, while Julian kept traditional things in a black tuxedo.

The young couple managed to enjoy a wonderful day despite the fact that the weather was quite cold for Texas. Ashley's mother, Sharon Bush, personally took charge of sharing as many photos of the celebration as possible through her Instagram account.

The ceremony was marked by unforgettable moments like when the couple heard an interpretation of "What A Wonderful World", their favorite song.

After the ceremony ended, the newlyweds and their guests went down to the dance floor where they did not stop shaking the skeleton for several hours, they even used headphones for a "silent nightclub" when it was getting late, so as not to interrupt the noise hour curfew.

Sharon sent her congratulations to her daughter and her new son-in-law with a nice message that she placed on a photo of the couple: “Wedding accomplished! It’s a wrap. Almost identical twins- same beautiful smiles. So happy for these two beautiful souls finding each other. ”
