Snoop Dogg's Wife Proves Her Hips Don't Lie as She Dances to the Groove in New Video
Shante Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s wife, has been treating her followers to videos of her dancing routines on Instagram. The most recent one shows the mother of four moving her hips to one of Aretha Franklin’s hit songs.
After raising four kids and working hard to uplift her husband in the good and the bad, it seems like Shante Broadus has finally found some time to start taking care of herself.
The “Boss Lady,” as she proudly calls herself on social media, has been putting in extra work to maintain a fitness lifestyle, and her go-to exercise is dancing. Broadus, 47, recently took to Instagram to share one more clip of her routine, and fans can’t get enough of her moves.
In the video, Shante is flanked by two male instructors, donning her work-out gear which consists on leggings, sweatshirt, and sneakers, as they dance in front of a backdrop with images of Beyoncé and Michael Jackson, and “Boss Lady Entertainment” written on it.
The trio danced to Aretha Franklin’s “Jump To It,” following the smooth choreography with rhythm while jumping and shaking their hips to the groovy hit song.
“True Queen @ArethaSings They Don’t Make Music Like This Anymore. #ArethaFranklin #PAFOOOORM #BLE,” Shante captioned the post.
Fans took over the comment section to praise Broadus and to keep encouraging her to share the dance videos. One user wrote, “I love watching your dancing videos. You are amazing!”
“I love it!! So motivating, love watching u dance,” another added.
And a third one chimed in to say, “You give me so much inspiration. You’re such a beautiful person inside and out.”
A LONG-LASTING LOVE STORY
Shante and Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus Jr., are one of the few long-lasting couples in the entertainment industry, especially related to the hip hop genre.
They started dating in high school when Snoop was still an aspiring rapper and didn’t have the million-dollar worth empire he runs now.
However, things weren’t always smooth for the couple.
In 2004, the “Gin and Juice” rapper filed for divorce from Shante citing irreconcilable differences. He later revealed that at the top of his career, he got too caught up on the Hollywood scene, partying every night and cheating on his wife. But he realized his mistake in time and had to fight hard to get Broadus back on his life.
“This music industry is a mother, man, and it’ll take your vision and blur it,” he told MTV back then. And continued:
“But God is good, so I understand that I need my wife and my kids in my life — so I threw the papers away. I don’t want to get a divorce. So if you hear about a divorce, it’ll be my wife divorcing me; it won’t be me divorcing her. And I made a mistake, so I’m trying to get back right.”
THE SURPRISE VOW RENEWAL
Four years later, the couple renewed their vows on Snoop’s friend, Charlie Wilson’s 20-acre ranch. The ceremony was a surprise for Broadus, but not for the 200 guests that witnessed Snoop reaffirming his love for her.
Talking to Larry King, Snoop confessed that there was a lot of “begging and pleading” before Shante accepted him back.
“You know, we’ve been together for 17 or 18 years. We’ve been married for ten years but, at the same time, it’s like, you know, some people in life are chosen for you. And I feel like we’re chosen for each other,” he said.
NEW CHEATING ALLEGATIONS
Last year, Broadus’ marriage was put on jeopardy when a woman claimed she had a sexual relationship with the rapper.
Celina Powell, a 23-year-old Instagram model, shared screenshots of text messages and FaceTime calls that she and Snoop reportedly did on Instagram and Twitter that set clear that the pair had an affair.
However, the rapper released the trailer of his upcoming show titled "Clout Chasers" in response. In it, Celina can be seen admitting that she faked a pregnancy and lied about Snoop being the father.
Chante and Snoop survived the allegations, proving that after 21 years together, they’re still going strong.
