Jessica Simpson Welcomes Third Child with Husband Eric Johnson

The 38-year-old singer and actor, Jessica Simpson, gave birth to her third child, daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson.

She announced the birth of Birdie Mae on Instagram earlier today, and the post received nearly half a million likes within the first hour. She wrote:

"We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson. 3.19.19. 10 Pounds 13 Ounces."

Simpson also shares a 5-year-old son, Ace Knute, and six-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew with Eric Johnson, a former NFL player.

The couple began dating in May 2010 and announced their engagement six months later. They tied the knot in August 2014 in a private ceremony in California.

Back in October, Simpson told People that the two older children had hilarious questions about the birth and the new sibling. She explained:

"They want to know every detail — like how milk comes out of Mommy, how the baby will actually get here and if my belly button is a speaker to communicate with the baby."
