DJIMON HOUNSOU AND KIMORA LEE SIMMONS' NURTURING RELATIONSHIP

Hounsou and Simmons married in Benin in 2008 in a commitment ceremony but never wed in the US. The couple welcomed their son Kenzo in May 2009.

Even though they split in 2012, Simmons and Hounsou have remained committed co-parents to Kenzo, and the actor is close to the designer's children from other relationships, Ming and Aoki Lee Simmons, and Wolfe Lee Leissner.

KENZO’S PASSION FOR SUPERHEROES

Since Housoun has starred in several superhero movies in the Marvel and DC universe and even voiced Black Panther in the animation series, it is no surprise that Kenzo is a big fan of superheroes.

Housoun has welcomed "Black Panther", especially since his son once told him he wished he could be light-skimmed so he could be a superhero like Spiderman.

When Kenzo turned 9 his doting parents threw him a party in which all the great superheroes showed up: Black Panther, Wonder Woman, Captain America, and of course, Spiderman.
