Mel B Sparks Controversy after Claiming She Slept with 'Spice Girls' Bandmate Geri Halliwell

Mel B made a shocking confession about her sexual encounter with her former bandmate, Geri Halliwell. “We were best friends. It just happened," she said before adding, "She's going to kill me."

Mel B was “brutally honest” to Piers Morgan about her alleged sexual encounter with former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. During a sit down with the columnist for his upcoming “Life Stories” series, the 43-year-old finally set the record straight regarding persistent rumors linking her to Geri in the past.

HER SHOCKING ADMISSION

“She’s going to hate me for this” Mel B, aka Melanie Brown said before making the shocking admission that she did sleep with her bandmate. It surprised even her other bandmate, Mel C who was in the audience when she made the confession.

“This is all new to me,” Mel C said.

“She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact.”

Mel B explained that although she and Geri did the deed, it was only a one-time thing.

“We were best friends. It just happened… It just happens one time, you talk about it and it doesn’t really happen again.”

ON GERI'S REACTION

“This is a Spice Girls BOMBSHELL,” Piers reacted, fueling Mel B’s fears it wouldn’t sit well with Geri.

“She’s going to kill me and so’s her husband,” Mel B said. Geri is currently married to Formula 1 boss Christian Horner.

Mel B tried to downplay the encounter by saying it was something she and Geri giggled about after it happened. But it’s unclear if Geri would still be giggling after her admission.

“She’s going to hate me for this because she’s all posh in her country house and her husband. But it’s a fact,” she said.

ON BEING BRUTALLY HONEST

Mel B clarified that this explosive detail between her and Geri never saw the pages of her book, “Brutally Honest” because “that wasn’t what my book was all about.” In the autobiography, she focused on her abusive relationship with her former husband, Stephen Belafonte who she divorced in 2017.

A HISTORY OF MEL B AND GERI'S RELATIONSHIP

Meanwhile, Mel B and Geri’s relationship was often rumored to be riddled with disagreements. In fact, when Geri decided to leave their band in 1998, it was believed Mel B had something to do with it. Now that they’re set to appear in a series of shows for their new tour, they still clash over outfits. Geri insists on more conservative looks while Mel B wants to be consistent with their 90s sexy vibe.

Geri has yet to comment on Mel B’s latest confession though she declined to do so when the Daily Mail reached out to her. People’s guess is she won’t be too happy about it given their volatile history.

SPICE GIRLS REUNION TOUR

The Spice Girls are set to make a comeback in their upcoming tour but without one member who’s already established a name for herself in the fashion industry. Victoria Beckham, aka, Posh Spice will not be joining the group allegedly due to business commitments. The last time the five of them performed together was in 2012 during the closing ceremony of the London Olympics. Victoria reportedly had a panic attack before the show fueling suspicions that this may have been the reason she opted out of participating in the upcoming tour. She did, however, send her well wishes for the foursome as they embark on their tour without her.
