“You were at my wedding Denise,” takes Twitter by storm as the newest meme.

When conservative commentator Denise McAllister slammed morning talk show “The View” she probably wasn’t expecting the clap back she got from Meghan McCain, one the of the show’s hosts.

On Monday, McAllister tweeted,

“Can someone explain to me the purpose of The View? It seems to me to be a roundtable of delusional mental midgets ricocheting ignorance and lack of emotional regulation.”

McCain quickly replied to this with: “You were at my wedding[,] Denise…”

And just like that, a new meme broke the internet.

If that wasn’t awkward enough, McAllister clarified her statement by saying, “I think the photo on the story made it look like this was personally directed at you, Meghan. My comment was directed at The View and the mental midgets that surround you. I don’t even know how you do it daily and my hat is off to you for standing strong in the midst of crazy.”

Perhaps even more awkward is the fact that McCain ignored the explanation.

Instead of replying to McAllister, she tweeted, “You were at my wedding, Denise…” can be everyone’s clap back to everyone, everywhere, forever. My gift to the Internet. Thank you for the support.” The statement was followed by a heart emoji.

The next day, McAllister made light of the issue, tweeting, “Just showing off my new handle,” in reference to her Twitter account name that says: “DC McAllister (You were at MY wedding, Denise) followed by a crying emoji.

How did the Internet react to all the nonsense? With even more nonsense as expected.

McCain has been consistently vocal on the recent episodes of “The View” in the midst of Trump’s attacks on her father, the late Senator John McCain.

Trump recently retweeted another user who said, “Millions of Americans truly LOVE President Trump, not McCain. I’m one! We hated McCain for his ties to the Russian dossier & his vote against repealing Obamacare.”

On another occasion, the president said to reporters, “I was never a fan of John McCain and I never will be.” He also mocked the senator for being captured as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.

Meghan said, “I do think this is a new bizarre low,” while the show’s panel discussed Trump’s attacks on the Arizona senator, who passed away last summer from brain cancer. She expressed appreciation to her "The View" co-hosts who have supported her in the midst of the president’s ongoing attacks on her late father. John McCain was the deciding vote in blocking efforts to overturn the Affordable Care Act two years ago, a point of political difference between the senator and Trump.

Meghan said she would not hesitate to continue speaking out for her father as long as the president keeps attacking him: “My dad’s not here, but I’m sure as hell here."
