HOPEFUL RESPONSE

“I had a friend of mine who asked me a couple of years ago after Frank passed, he said, ‘Sorry, I guess Frank was the love of your life, right?’ … And I said ‘so far.’ I was kind of surprised by my answer because it was like optimistic, so far,” Kathie Lee shared.

“Love can happen at any time,” she added. “And then he said, ‘I’ve never had a love like that in my life.’ I said, ‘Not yet. I have, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have another one.’ And he hasn’t, but that doesn’t mean he won’t.”

While the "Today" show co-anchor is making herself available to the dating scene, she said she isn’t rushing love.

"My faith is me, and I’m not going to share my life with somebody — or even another hour of my life on a date with you — if you don’t share the same passion for your faith as I do.'”

A BAD DATE

In fact, according to her, in three-and-a-half years, she has only had one date. Sadly, that experience "didn't go so well," as she revealed during a candid interview with Access Live last year.

"He didn't share my faith, and he didn't understand why I didn't want to be with him; And I said, 'My faith isn’t something I do on Sunday mornings for an hour," Kathie Lee explained.

"My faith is me, and I’m not going to share my life with somebody — or even another hour of my life on a date with you — if you don’t share the same passion for your faith as I do,'” she added.

Kathie Lee's husband of 29 years, Frank, died on August 9, 2015, from natural causes at their Greenwich, Connecticut home. The couple shared two children, Cody, 29, and Cassidy, 25.

In February 2018, she sat down with the "I Am Second" crew and got candid about her faith and coping with feelings of loneliness after losing her husband.

She said the thought of her husband meeting God and relaxing in Heaven helped ease her pain.
