Daylin Campbell was heartbroken when the bike his parents had given him for Christmas vanished from the porch of the family's home in Lake Wales, Florida.

The 13-year-old, who had been diagnosed with leukemia in May 2018, had been working hard to build up his strength to ride that bike, and it seemed as if his dream was dashed.

“It just didn’t sit well with us knowing someone stole 13-year-old Daylin Campbell’s bike off his front porch Monday in Lake Wales. This week we kindly received a donated bike and surprised Daylin with it to cheer him up.”

REACHING OUT TO SOCIAL MEDIA FOR HELP

When the bike disappeared on March 25, 2019, Daylin's mom, Canice Jordan, reached out to the Internet community through Facebook.

She asked for help in locating and retrieving her son's beloved stolen bike, and that is when the Polk County Police got involved.

The Polk County Police later posted a video of the encounter on their Facebook page, and revealed that Daylin is now in remission from his leukemia.

The Polk County Police later posted a video of the encounter on their Facebook page, and revealed that Daylin is now in remission from his leukemia.

A 4-YEAR-OLD'S DREAM FOR HALLOWEEN

Since he was too sick to go trick-or-treating, his mother decided to see how many Halloween cards she could send Carter to cheer him up.

She shared her idea on social media, and the cards started flooding in,k with Amazon delivering up to ten boxes a day.

Carter has also received presents from well-wishers ranging from colouring books, to stuffed toys, and even furniture.
