However, a Twitter user doctored the original video creating a new one that went viral.

On Thursday, Former Vice President Joe Biden responded to a doctored video of his original one which President Donald Trump picked up and shared. The edited clip mocked Biden as he tried to defend himself against allegations that his behavior had made a number of women feel uncomfortable.

Trump captioned the false video, "WELCOME BACK JOE!" In response to the president, Biden tweeted: "I see that you are on the job and presidential, as always.”

“Shaking hands, hands on the shoulder, a hug, encouragement, and now, it's all about taking selfies together.”

In his doctored video, the former vice president explained: "I shake hands, I hug people, I grab men and women by the shoulders and say, 'You can do this.'" In the background, an animation of Biden comes up behind him and holds his shoulders.

Trump mocking Biden was ironic in that the president was accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault during the 2016 election campaign. At the time, 15 women came forward.

Most of his accusers came forward after a 2005 "Access Hollywood" tape was released in October 2016. In the tape, Trump was recorded saying: "And when you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. ... Grab them by the [expletive]. You can do anything."

The president has denied all the allegations. For his part, Biden has had a number of women come out to accuse him of touching them inappropriately.

The first person to come out was former Nevada state Assemblywoman, Lucy Flores. She alleged that the President Barack Obama’s former vice president kissed the back of her head at a 2014 Nevada campaign rally.

Flores claimed the encounter made her feel "uneasy, gross, and confused." She's since responded to the former vice president's video via Twitter.

In the video where Biden addressed the allegations against him, he stated: "I've never thought of politics as cold and antiseptic.”

"You know, social norms have begun to change, they've shifted, and the boundaries of protecting personal space have been reset, and I get it, I get it.”

Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr. also ridiculed Biden using the same doctored video by retweeting it. A Twitter user with the handle Carpe Donktum was the one who created the fake clip.

Donktum captioned it, “Noooooooo Joe, NOT DURING THE APOLOGY!” The fake video has since been retweeted more than 7,300 times and liked more than 16,000 times.
