Randy Jackson Once Explained Why Tina Turner Reportedly Shot Him
Randy Jackson, Michael Jackson’s brother, has his fair share of crazy histories after being part of one of the most iconic musical families in the industry. However, when he announced on Twitter that Tina Turner shot him once, fans were left confused and curious to know more about it.
“Yes, Tina Turner shot me. I have the scar to prove it,” Randy told his followers on Twitter back in 2011.
When asked to elaborate on his statement, he simply said:
“I went to Tina's house to see my girlfriend. I guess I caught them off guard. Hmmm... Next question."

Although Turner has never addressed the accusation, and Jackson didn’t explain what happened, Tina’s former assistant Eddy Hampton Armani, confirmed the incident in a book he wrote back in 1998, titled “The Real T: My 22 years with Tina Turner.”
Die-hard fans of Turner retrieved the excerpt from the book where Armani narrated what happened in detail.
The incident allegedly took place in 1983, when Randy was dating Bernadette Robi.
Robi was a good friend of Tina Turner’s late son Craig, and the singer was very fond of her. They had such a good relationship that Randy allegedly accused them of engaging in a lesbian relationship, hence his tweet suggesting he “caught them off guard.”
According to Armani, one night Bernadette arrived at Turner’s house crying and scared, stating that she ran away from Randy because he was going to hit her.
The girl told Tina and her friends that Jackson was a psycho. He was jealous, possessive, and controlling.
“I can't go back to him. He knows my every movement, he follows and stalks me. I mean, I can come out of a food store or the gym, and he'll be there, hiding behind something just watching,” Robi allegedly told Turner.

Hearing the story, and having survived a similar situation with Ike Turner, Tina told Bernadette to break up with Randy because he was not good for her. “Bernadette, let me tell you something, you've got yourself an Ike Turner, You better get rid of him,” the singer said.
However, as they kept talking, Randy showed up at Tina’s house.
When the singer refused to buzz him in, Jackson reportedly jumped the fence, and then threw a pot through a window, leaping through the broken glass and into the house.
What followed, Armani wrote, was a quick succession of events.

Randy plunged to Bernadette, asking her to come with him and professing his love. Then Tina walked calmly into her bedroom, grabbed a shotgun, charged it, and pointed it at Randy’s head saying: “Freeze, or I'll blow your brains out.”
Jackson stopped for just one second before lunging for his girlfriend once again. Tina raised the gun at the roof and blew a hole in it.
“Randy, his face a mask of brutality, charged straight at Tina like a raging bull. Still, in total control, Tina moved the barrel slightly to the side and fired towards the doorway. She pointed the gun at Randy,” Armani continued.

Then, Jackson finally leaped through the window and ran out of the house. Bernadette followed him. Armani’s story doesn’t mention Tina hurting Randy, so it seems like someone didn’t get their story straight.
Whether a bullet reached Randy or not, and whether he has a scar to prove it, the man-made sure to mention that he doesn’t have hard feelings towards Turner. He said:
“It was in the Eighties. And I don't hold a grudge against Tina; she's a great artist an asset to our industry.”
A few years later, Bernadette married the former professional boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard.
Randy, on the other hand, had two kids with girlfriend Alejandra Oaziaza, Genevieve and Steven Randall Jackson Jr. He later married Eliza Shaffy, with whom he shares a daughter, Stevanna Jackson.
