Tammy Rivera's Husband Waka Flocka Faced Danger When 3 Gunmen Opened Fire at Recording Studio

Waka Flocka Flame was among other rappers in a studio targeted by gunmen just days after Nipsey Hussle was horrifically shot to death.

Hussle was shot by one man as he sat in his car outside his Marathon Clothing store on March 31. The Los Angeles community is still reeling from his death.

On April 4, Waka Flocka Flame, birth name Jauquin Malphurs, was working in an Atlanta recording studio named ZAC when three men fired several bullets.

Timothy Nickson, one of the three other men who were present in the studio, was shot in his right arm. An ambulance transported him to the Grady Memorial Hospital following the incident.

Waka Flocka did not get hit during the attack although he did have to take cover. It is unclear whether he was the target or not. None of the men were fatally shot.

Witnesses said there were at least three gunmen who fled the scene. When police arrived, they did arrest two men who said they were there to secure the studio. The men were subsequently let off. The Shade Room shared the news on Instagram.

Like Hussle, Waka Flocka mostly stayed away from the spotlight in recent years. In January, however, he and his wife Tammy Rivera held a five-year wedding anniversary which received a lot of attention.

The couple renewed their vows on January 19 in a ceremony held near the ocean in Mexico. According to a PEOPLE interview, Rivera was the one who wanted a traditional wedding ceremony five years into the couple's marriage.

In a sweet expression of her love, Rivera said that God wrote her name next to her husband's. The rapper also spoke to the magazine, saying that he "never know what love was until [he] met Tammy."

On Instagram, The Shade Room shared a snippet of the romantic event. Some people took issue with Rivera's dress and were quick to express their opinion.

They said the dress was too revealing and "inappropriate" for the ceremony. Thankfully, there was more positive than negative feedback and many people who acknowledged that Rivera had the right to dress however she liked for her own wedding.

The "Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta" star's 13-year-old daughter Charlie was also present for the grand occasion. Rivera was happy to show off a massive diamond engagement ring she received for her anniversary along with the big news.
