Authorities revealed that Pais was last seen in the foothills of Denver. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with multiple agencies have launched a massive manhunt.

No warrant has been issued for her arrest as yet however the FBI reported that district attorneys and the U.S. attorney’s office are discussing appropriate charges.

The FBI's Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force issued a notice on Tuesday describing Pais as "infatuated with (the) Columbine school shooting." The alert also instructed law enforcement who find her to detain her and evaluate her mental health.

More than 20 schools including Columbine were placed on lockouts on Tuesday. The action meant classes were conducted as usual, but entry and exits were heavily restricted for nearly three hours.

Authorities revealed that Pais has not singled out a particular school as yet. However, they revealed she has an "infatuation" with Columbine and the Columbine shooters. The threat comes just days ahead of the 1999 massacre's 20th anniversary.
