Kim Kardashian has always tried to use her influence to do good for other people, which might have been something she inherited from her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., who was one of the best lawyers of his time. Now, Kim has been hard at work trying to earn her own law degree, acing her Torts Exam in the process.

Just last week, the 38-year-old revealed that she is currently studying to become a lawyer, and decided on it last summer. She is currently on a four-year apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco, and she hopes to take the bar in 2022. Kardashian is currently being taught by author and CNN comentator Van Jones, and attorney Jessica Jackson, who are co-founders of #cut50, a national bipartisan advocacy group on criminal-justice reform, which is something Kim has been advocating.

Meeting Donald Trump on Criminal-Justice Reform

Late last year, Kardashian went to the White House to try and rally towards releaseing a drug possession prisoner. Those with her included Leonard Leo, Shop Hopwood, Jared Kushner, Van Jones, and Judge Kevin Sharp. It was Sharp who sentenced Chris Young, the person she was trying to save, back in 2010.

Young was given a life sentence in Tennessee for cocaine and marijuana possession. Now, at 30 years old, he received the sentence due to mandatory minimum sentencing. The judge soon after retired because he was not at peace with having to jail someone for that long, just because the law says so.

Chris Young has managed to stay out of trouble, but has been suffering from sickle cell anemia which has brought him in and out of a medical facility and his maximum security prison.

This is not the first time Kim rallied for something to President Trump, as back in May 2018, she was able to release Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old, from jail. She was in prison for over two decades.

Now that she is studying to become a lawyer, Kim would definitely be able to help more people and change more lives in the process.
