Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy’s Tremendous Wedding Cake Revealed (Photo)

“Dancing with the Stars” Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy threw a delightful wedding ceremony as they tied the knot over the weekend at California. Their wedding cake is a sight to behold.

Right before their guests that numbered up to 200, the dance pros said their vows in an outdoor scenery which overlooked the Terranea Resort ocean in Rancho Palo Verdes, California. Jenna was quite the view as she walked down the aisle with a string quartet entrance song.

Her traditional wedding dress was an exquisite one from the Vera Wang bridal collections which she matched with a long veil designed by Bridal Styles Boutique. Johnson’s hair was also adorned with an equally matching crystal headpiece to complete the Classic attire. The groom looked impeccable in a black velvet custom-designed tuxedo from Brook Brothers.

The couple was joined under the Jewish style Chuppah which was decorated in a wide array of sweet-smelling flowers. Jenna and Val said their vows while also including traditions from both of their families.Theirs was a felicitous event as details spoke volume of a well-organized wedding ceremony.

Just like the bride, the wedding cake was another lovely sight to behold. With its white and gold theme that matched the colors on the dance floor, the five-tier cake was decorated in white and gold icings that formed large rosettes round its surface.

For additional aesthetics, the middle tier was covered in pieces of dangling crystals. The cake had three basic flavors which include milk chocolate hazelnut with Valrhona chocolate pearls and yellow butter cake banana chocolate chip and dark chocolate cake with dark chocolate buttercream, caramel, and Maldon flaky sea salt.

For their first dance, the couple moved gracefully to the subtle rhythms of “La Vie En Rose.” It was, however, unrehearsed as the couple wanted to keep it “real.” Jenna said, while speaking to PEOPLE:

“ All I wanted to do was slow dance with my husband, I’m sure many people expected a produced dance, but we wanted to keep it genuine and real."

The Johnson-Chmerkovskiy glamorous Union was an avenue for the reunion of the "DWTS" crew as the event was graced with the likes of Hayley Erbert, Witney Carson, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Mark Ballas, Cheryl Burke, Alan Bersten, Artem Chigvintsev, and Brandon Armstrong.

Also present were Joe Amabile, Normani Kordei, Laurie Hernandez and Ginger Zee who were once Val’s dance partners.

Jenna and Val got engaged in 2018 after he bent the knee to ask for her hand while they were on a romantic trip in Venice, Italy. Chmerkovskiy said of Johnson while speaking with PEOPLE about their engagement:

“My life has changed because of [her,] and I find myself to be the best version of myself that I’ve ever been. She’s awesome.”
