'NCIS: New Orleans' Scott Bakula Had 4 Children from 2 Wives, and They’re All Grown Up Now
Actor and director Scott Bakula is a father to his four children, Chelsy, Cody, Wil, and Owen. To see all of them as grown-ups now makes one think that time really does fly!
The actor is best known for his role as the time-traveling Dr. Sam Beckett in “Quantum Leap.” His role as Jonathan Archer in “Star Trek: Enterprise” was also one of the most remarkable.
SCOTT BAKULA’S ACTING CAREER
With four Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe Award, Bakula has been on the screen for over three decades. He has starred in over 75 movies including TV series.
Bakula racked up a Golden Globe award for his role in “Quantum Leap”, which also earned him five Viewers for Quality Television Award for best actor in quality drama series that he won five times in a row.
His other notable works include “The New Adventure of Old Christine”, “NCIS”, and “Men Of A Certain Age.”
MARITAL LIFE AND CHILDREN
Bakula married actress Krista Neumann in 1981. The couple, who split in 1995, are parents to their two children, Chelsy and Cody. Their son Cody was adopted in 1991.
His second marriage was to actress Chelsea Field, whom he dated for over 10 years before finally getting married in 2009. The duo share two kids, Wil and Owen.
Bakula’s daughter Chelsy is the only one who followed in her father’s footsteps. She is best known for her role in “Quantum Leap: Memphis Melody.”
HIS “FAMILY FIRST” ATTITUDE
After his first marriage with Krista failed, Bakula understood the importance of being there for his family. The actor revealed how it took him a long time to work out his feelings about his and Krista’s relationship.
The actor also added that he regrets not being able to make time for his daughter Chelsy when she was growing up.
All of that changed when he met his second wife Chelsea.
“I had it put in my contract that I would be done every Wednesday at 6 so I could be home for dinner,” he shared. “And I made time to coach my sons’ soccer and baseball teams.”
According to Bakula, marriage takes “energy and focus.” He and his wife “work hard to stay present” in their relationship. The couple enjoys doing theatre projects whenever he can find the time.
“Chelsea is amazingly present and has taught me a lot about relationships and spirituality. I feel incredibly lucky to have the career and family I do,” he said.
