The Teen donned her special outfit and was the absolute view. Her amazing talent garnered 84.3k retweets and 393k likes on Twitter. Her page was filled with sweet comments as well as words of encouragement from tweeps. Some others started making orders as they made for her direct message box.
A fellow designer commented:
“I’m an independent designer in the US, and I have to tell you, I am madly in love with this. I love ball gowns, and yours is one of the best I’ve ever seen. You rock on with your bad self!”
A tweep asked:
“Damn!, that’s talent, would you consider that to be a future business?
Han replied saying she isn’t “ saying no to opportunities.” Gan also seized the platform to talk about her other works of arts as she wrote:
“also!! I can paint, make invites, stickers, vector art, pub mats, and a lot more!”
as she urged prospective customers to make contacts through her “dm.”
Ciara Gan gave an account of how she and her mother brought the par excellence dress to “life.” Gan explained that initially, the only thing she did was design the outfit for a dressmaker months before graduation, but the dress did not turn out as expected.
After her mother gave her some words of encouragement, Ciara took on the full-time job of making her special graduation outfit. With the help of her mother, the teen was able to put the bodice and sweeping skirt together. Gan said:
“My mom and I sewed each panel of the skirt one-by-one, it took me about a whole month to make the whole thing. For the painting, it took five days.”
The young Filipino girl also talked about the inspiration behind her painting as she said:
“My dress tells a very personal story about the things I hold close to my heart; lilies, the color green, painting, and creating new things.”
Ciara Gan, however, stated that she would love to pursue a career in science as well as hone her skills in artworks.
