Kenny Rogers Shared Rare Photo with His Twin Sons and They Changed beyond Recognition
Kenny Rogers surprised most of his fans in 2004 when he announced, at age 65, that he and his wife, Wanda, were expecting twins. Now in a recent Instagram post, they look unrecognizable.
Kenny had been previously married four times with Wanda being his fifth wife. He had three children already when Wanda found out she was pregnant with twins.
Despite his age and already having three other children, Kenny was happy to expand his family. He and Wanda were both excited about having twins.
DOUBLE THE LOVE
It came to no surprise for the couple that they were going to have twins because both Wanda and Kenny have twins in their families.
The twins look all grown up now. At 80 years old, Kenny still seems to be enthusiastic about fatherhood.
He does not often share his private life on social media but one of the few times he did this was for a family Christmas photograph.
The picture shows Kenny, Wanda, and their twins. The sons are taller than their father, and both look like they are starting to grow beards.
In 2006 Kenny Rogers teamed up with Carrie Underwood for a duet in honor of Dolly Parton being recognized by the Kennedy Center Honours.
Carrie and Kenny performed “Islands in the Stream.” The song was originally recorded and performed by Dolly and Kenny.
“Islands in the Stream” is considered as the most magnificent country duet of all time. It was written by the Bee Gees with Marvin Gaye in mind, but later became a hit for Dolly and Kenny.
Besides that he is the father of five children and one half of a famous duet, there is a lot about Kenny Rogers that most people don’t know.
He is not only a musician, but he has also dabbled in acting by starring in the 1982 film “Six Pack” and television shows such as “The Gambler” and “Coward of the Country.”
Before he had a solo singing career Kenny was in two bands; first The Minstrels and then The First Edition. In 1976 he pursued a solo career following the band’s split.
