Andrea Bocelli Sings in Church and His Performance is Pure Gold
Andrea Bocelli released a new music video for song “Ave Maria Pietas” featuring the Russian soprano, Aida Garifullina.
Bocelli once again treated his fans with another heartwarming track and music video. This time, the music video is set in a church where Bocelli and Garifullina’s voices perfectly blended, while dancers danced with pure emotion in the background.
The duet features the words from the Catholic prayer, “Ave Maria.” Although, the order of the lyrics and the melody had been altered.
The new song is included in Bocelli’s album entitled “Si,” which is his first one with all-new original songs in 14 years. “Ave Maria Pietas” is the first officially recorded song done by Bocelli and Garifullina.
Although, it wasn’t the duo’s first performance. In the past, they have sung together at a concert. Bocelli and Garifullina sang one of his classic hits, ‘Con te partirò’ (Time to Say Goodbye).
Bocelli’s career as of the moment continues to sky-rocket. In 2018, Bocelli became the first classical artist to have reached the number one spot in the Official UK Album Chart since 1994.
For that year, The Three Tenors were number one.
Speaking about his recent success, Bocelli said, “Life never ceases to amaze. I would never have imagined achieving this, even in a country that welcomed me from the very beginning.”
Apart from Garifullina, Bocelli also collaborates with other artists in his album, including Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Josh Groban, and Bocelli’s son, Matteo Bocelli.
In June this year, people were treated with an epic live performance by Sheeran as he invited Bocelli on the stage at the Wembley Stadium to sing “Perfect Symphony,” which is the Italian version of the modern pop artist’s hit song, “Perfect.”
Meanwhile, Bocelli and his beloved wife, Veronica Berti, also captured hearts when they performed a duet together. They sang a heartwarming version of “Qualche Stupido” (Somethin’ Stupid).
