The family of Elvis Presley's co-star in "Jailhouse Rock," Anne Neyland, revealed the actress has passed on. She passed away on Wednesday at the age of 84.

Actress Anne Neyland was best known for co-starring with Elvis Presley in "Jailhouse Rock." Her family revealed she died Wednesday. She was 84-years-old at the time of her death.

The announcement was published in the form of an obituary in the Ventura County Star on Sunday. The cause of death was not disclosed in her short obituary.

Following the making of the movie "Jailhouse Rock," Presley and Neyland dated for a short time. She later did an interview with Photoplay and spoke about her relationship saying,

"These last three years he's been so used to people tearing at him wherever he goes that he's drawn into as hell. He's so used to being alone with a few close friends and going for drives and playing records that you can't get him out of it."

Neyland also starred in two other 1957 movies: Hidden Fear and Motorcycle Gang. She later had an uncredited role in Ocean's 11 (1960). The role was her final onscreen role.

Neyland was born in Mississippi and moved to Dallas, Texas. She won a Miss Texas pageant as a little girl and worked as a model before playing a chorus girl in 1952's Singin' in the Rain. She also had an extensive TV career.
