Princess Charlotte Turns 4 Today and resembles Queen Elizabeth

Charlotte and her great-grandmother share many striking similarities. Princess Charlotte looks like a mini Queen Elizabeth in her new birthday portraits!

Princess Charlotte just turned 4-years-old. The little royal looks just like her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth in a trio of new photos taken by her mother, Kate Middleton on her birthday.

She shared the 93-year-old monarch's captivating gaze and sweet smile. Charlotte and her great-grandmother share the same striking eye structure with matching blue eyes and even the same eyebrow arch.

The young royal also has lovely light brown hair. Before her hair turned white, Queen Elizabeth’s hair was a very similar shade to her great-granddaughter’s.

The royal relatives also share a love of bright colors and flower patterns. Till now the Queen is often spotted wearing colorful ensembles.

The little princess and the reigning monarch even share their love for cardigans. Charlotte donned a gray cardigan for two of the birthday snaps.

They even matched each other with pink sweaters for the Queen’s family portrait ahead of her 90th birthday in 2016. Little Charlotte is also following in her great-grandmother's footsteps with her choice of sport.

The young princess is a budding equestrian. While attending an event to meet and honor British Olympians at Buckingham Palace in October 2016, Kate revealed that Charlotte already has developed a love of horses just like her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth.

Princess Charlotte hasn't been seen in public since she appeared in her granddad Prince Charles's birthday photos, which even included a nod to Princess Diana, last year. However, she reportedly went to see the Nutcracker with her mother before Christmas.

She was also seen with Kate out in the garden at Kensington Palace. The sighting was a rare moment of royal downtime.

A royal source recently revealed that Charlotte and her older brother Prince George adore their mother. They look forward to seeing her and enjoy the time they get to spend with her.

“She's got a lovely instinct,” the source said. Their passion for their mom is especially visible whenever the Duchess of Cambridge returns home from events.
