Michelle Obama Reacts to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle's Royal Baby
Michelle Obama took time to greet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after Meghan successfully gave birth to their first child, a baby boy.
Michelle and Barack Obama have always been good friends with the Royals, and she reminded her supporters of that yet again when she decided to congratulate Harry and Meghan on the arrival of their baby boy.
The Much-Anticipated Birth
Everyone is raving about the newest Royal baby, Michelle included. She took to Twitter to congratulate Prince Harry and Meghan, gushing about how she can't wait to meet their little one.
"Congratulations, Meghan and Harry! Barack and I are so thrilled for both of you and can't wait to meet him! #RoyalBaby"
Of course, this greeting adds to the many thousands of others that the Royal couple has received after they announced the birth of their son on their official social media channels.
The Michelle-Meghan Friendship
Thanks to the good ties between the Royal family and the Obamas, Meghan has found an adviser in Michelle. Earlier this year, the former First Lady revealed the one piece of advice that she would give Duchess Meghan about her life as a Royal.
“Like me, Meghan probably never dreamt that she’d have a life like this, and the pressure you feel – from yourself and from others – can sometimes feel like a lot.”
It turns out, Michelle was speaking from experience and was also speaking to everyone else who could relate. After all, there are times when one cannot imagine ever having the life they live, and it could be a lot of pressure.
Being the humanitarian that she is, Michelle also made sure to add in a piece of advice for how Meghan could use her influence to do good, which the Duchess has been doing.
“What I’d say is that there’s so much opportunity to do good with a platform like that—and I think Meghan can [maximize] her impact for others, as well her own happiness, if she’s doing something that resonates with her personally.”
Congratulations, Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
