Christian Bale and Wife Sibi Blazic Have a Love Story for the Ages

Movie buffs recognize Christian Bale for his sterling performance in many action flicks. His talented display on screen makes it difficult to picture him like a lovestruck man! However, him and his wife and a beautiful love story.

Christian Bale is known for his rather intense method of acting which has him transforming his very self in a bid to get into character. It works excellently well for him, and to this day, he remains recognized as one of Hollywood’s finest actors. He has won himself numerous awards all attesting to his beautiful works in the movie industry.

Throughout a more significant part of his successful career, he has had his wife, Sibi Blazic supporting him behind the scenes. They make just the perfect Hollywood power couple minus the constant problems celebrities encounter during their marriages.

Funny enough, Bale never pictured himself becoming a family man because he grew up watching families getting torn apart. He said:

"I never planned to marry. Everyone was divorced in my family, so I didn't have very healthy ideas about marriage. Then I met Sibi, and suddenly it seemed a fantastic idea.”

At the time of their first encounter, the former model was working as an assistant to Bale's actress friend, Winona Ryder. It was the genesis of their relationship, and in 2000, the pair eloped to Las Vegas when he was only 26 years old and she, 30.

Although married for 19 years and parents of two beautiful children, the pair still boast of so much love for each other. Being the protective daddy he is, Bale rarely lets his kids step into the spotlight, but there's no arguing the fact that he loves his family.

Who can forget how his speech was full of admiration at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards as he praised his wife for being so accommodating of his intense job habits. Bale said:

“I get choked up about that stuff… [My wife] had to be married to so many different characters over our marriage. I know that it truly would be impossible to do it without her. She’s such a good, strong woman.”

Since making his debut into acting in the 1987 war film, "Empire of The Sun,” Bale’s most recognized work is playing Batman in the widely acclaimed 2008 American thriller, “Dark Knight.”

Bale, even when out of character, has this macho air about him that makes it hard to place him playing the sweet family man. Isn't it surprising that he makes one of the very few actors that have been married for well over decades!?
