Princess Charlotte Wears $35 Sneakers That Previously Belonged to Her Brother George
Even on her birthday, Princess Charlotte was unable to avoid at least one plague of a typical middle child's upbringing: hand-me-downs in the form of a pair of shoes her older brother was spotted in just last year.
To celebrate the four-year-old's birthday, Kensington Royal shared three new photos of Kate Middleton's daughter on Thursday, May 2. The posts are found below.
In one of the pictures, Princess Charlotte sat on some grass wearing a light blue dress. She wore her hair going back with the ends let out to fall around her neck.
The adorable tot clasped her hands around her knees as she smiled into the camera. According to the caption, her mother Kate Middleton took the photos "at their home in Norfolk" back in April.
On her feet, Charlotte wore a pair of navy blue canvas shoes without laces. The same pair were reportedly worn by her brother Prince George in June 2018 for a charity polo match.

Thank you for the lovely messages for Princess Charlotte’s fourth birthday! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday. The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.
In the picture presented by Today, the little Prince ran around in the laceless sneakers as Charlotte followed barefoot behind him. Since it is the royal family, it's quite possible the latest shoes are brand new.
According to outlets, they go for only $35 on Trotters. However, Middleton is well-known for the practice of recycling outfits for her own self, as well as for her children.
Again, Charlotte was photographed wearing a blue cardigan last year when she held Prince Louis soon after he was born. The same cardigan was worn on Prince George for a portrait taken in 2016 with Queen Elizabeth.
Prince Louis also fell victim to the hand-me-down practice when he wore a white knitted garb while he lay in Prince George's arms, the same garment was seen on Charlotte when she was a newborn.
It remains to be seen whether or not the newest royal family member, delivered by Meghan Markle on Monday, May 6, will have to endure wearing hand-me-downs from his cousins as well.

As for Charlotte's recent photos, the little one may be exuding queen-like behavior that far outweighs the negative light of wearing hand-me-downs. A comparison photo from People showed the similarities between the two.
The newest photos show a striking resemblance between Charlotte and a young Queen Elizabeth, especially in the eyes. The young royal's hair color is also close to the queen's prior to her going grey.
Back in September 2018, another photo showed just how alike the two are. Wearing a patterned dress, Charlotte was photographed enjoying some time outdoors.
Her pink sunglasses inspired Razzle Tazzle magazine to do a side by side of her and the queen when the latter also wore eyewear. The two were definitely twinning in the photos.
