Donald Trump's Three Marriages: Everything You Need to Know
Donald Trump is the current president of the United States and is, therefore, one of the most talked about individuals in the world. Just like the average celebrity, he has a fascinating history when it comes to his love life.
Trump has had a hectic love life having been married three times all to three different stunning women. Now a father of five and the occupant of the most sought-after seat in politics, he seems to have done it all!
The president’s very first marriage was to Ivana Trump way before he became world-famous. The union lasted for well over a decade and produced three children.
When they first met, Ivana was a businesswoman and former model. Following her marriage to Trump, she became a primary figure co-managing interior design for The Trump Organization and even went on to join him on numerous projects. The relationship soured after a “blonde woman” boldly introduced herself to Ivanka as Marla!
In her book, “Raising Trump,” Ivana related an account of the moment she realized the marriage was headed for the rocks saying:
“This young blonde woman approached me out of the blue and said ‘I’m Marla and I love your husband. Do you?’ I said ‘Get lost. I love my husband.’ It was unladylike, but I was in shock.”
Marla Marples did get Trump for herself, and although now long separated, the media still labels Ivanka and Trump's relationship as reasonably good. Marla and the savvy businessman tied the knot in 1993 and stayed together for some six years. The union produced just one child Tiffany before they parted ways.
Donald Trump is currently married to a svelte Slovenian beauty, Melania. The pair's first encounter was well over a decade ago when she was still walking the runway. The couple has remained together since getting married in 2005 and are now proud parents of a male child, Barron Trump.
Although initially plagued by skepticism, their relationship has remained steady. When asked about plans in case Trump wins the election, Melania revealed that she planned to stick to the norm when it comes to her role as the First Lady. Melania Trump said:
"I would be very traditional, like Betty Ford or Jackie Kennedy."
Spanning about 14 years now, the timeline of her relationship with Trump is almost as long as his first marriage. That is something rather worthy of mention because the Trumps continuously make controversial headlines, something that can be rather damaging to families like theirs.
