Meghan Markle's Dad Was an 'Awful Father', Claims His Ex Roslyn

Thomas Markle's ex-wife breaks her silence and speaks out against him revealing he was a verbally abusive philanderer who isn't worthy of being a grandfather to Meghan Markle's son, Archie.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s newborn son is better off not meeting his grandfather, Thomas Markle, according to his ex-wife.

AWFUL FATHER

For the first time, Roslyn Markle, the mother of Thomas’ three children including Samantha Markle, spoke up about her ex-husband and reveals what an “awful father” he was and why he shouldn’t be allowed near his new grandchild.

Roslyn spoke to the Daily Mail and opened up about Thomas’ foul mouth and philandering ways while they were still married. She claimed Thomas would spend days away from their home to sleep with other women. She also revealed Meghan’s estranged father was verbally abusive.

“He would scream, ‘"f*** you", "f*** off," "leave me the f*** alone", or "get the f*** out of here’. Everything was f***. He called me a f****** c*** a lot.’”

PHILANDERING HUSBAND

Roslyn added that at one point in their marriage, Thomas abandoned her and their children to live a “single life.” He drove them to his parents’ home and left them there. He returned when his parents asked him to because they couldn’t support his family any longer. He reclaimed them but he never changed. He continued cheating on Roslyn and even slept with one of her relatives.

NOT GRANDFATHER MATERIAL

Having revealed this, Roslyn, who was married to Thomas from 1964 to 1975 believes he isn’t worthy of having any kind of relationship with Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, Meghan’s son who was born on May 6.

“Archie deserves to be brought up in a happy home, not in this vengeful situation that has been created. Tom was an awful father. What makes him think he'd be a great grandfather to Archie?”

Roslyn adds that Thomas has not met two of his grandchildren with Samantha who are now adults. Moreover, he hardly has a relationship with his two grandsons with Thomas Jr.

IN SUPPORT OF MEGHAN

Roslyn is also aware of the strained relationship Thomas has with Meghan and doesn’t blame the duchess for keeping her distance.

“Repeatedly he has shown to Meghan he cannot be trusted. She must know that now.”

It’s been three years since Meghan began dating Harry and two years since her relationship with her father soured. Roslyn has kept her silence until now but maintains she speaks “not out of bitterness…but out of concern.”

THOMAS' RESPONSE

In response, Thomas denied her accusations to the Mirror.

“These accusations about my relationship more than 40 years ago with my first wife are not valid. None of them. If you have questions ask my children.”

Thomas also defends himself by revealing their children lived with him and not her.

“Take note that both Samantha and Tom Jr. left their mother and came to live with me because of her numerous bad habits and abuse.”

THOMAS' REACTION TO ARCHIE'S BIRTH

Shortly after Archie’s birth, Thomas reacted and released a statement to the press expressing his “delight” and hope that the little boy would one day “serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour.”

Thomas has not seen or spoken to Meghan since their relationship faltered before her wedding to Prince Harry due to his constant conversations with the press despite Meghan's request not to. He has made an effort to patch things up with his daughter but to no avail.

When news of Archie's birth was officially announced, there was no mention of Thomas in the list of family members who were informed. This would mean he may have learned about his grandson's birth through the press like everyone else.
