NBA Youngboy Allegedly Involved in Shooting That Left One Dead
NBA YoungBoy and his crew were reportedly shot at in a shooting that took place outside the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles Beach, Miami on Sunday, May 12. One person has been confirmed dead and another, believed to be the rapper’s girlfriend, was reportedly injured.
According to witness reports obtained by TMZ, YoungBoy and his team were in a vehicle outside the popular hotel when shots rang out, and the alleged shooters targeted them. The rapper was also said to be lodged at the Trump resort.
A video posted by the celebrity news site reportedly shows the aftermath of the shooting as people rushed to attend to the alleged victims.
The Aventura Police Department informed the outlet that another shooting took place in their jurisdiction
Multiple witnesses tell the outlet that YoungBoy was not shot, but a woman believed to be his girlfriend, Kay Marie, reportedly suffered a gunshot wound.
According to Fox News, 19-year-old Marie was taken to the Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, and her condition is not known.
Cops have reportedly confirmed, however, that one person died in the shooting. The dead victim has been identified as an employee from the Alamo Rent-A-Car shop across the Trump Resort.
Per Local 10 News, it was at the Rent-A-Car shop that gunfire broke out around 1:30 pm on that fateful day. The TV station also claimed the shooting started when two groups of rappers got into an argument outside the Trump resort.
While YoungBoy, who was slated to perform on Sunday night at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami Gardens, seems to have left the shooting unharmed, his security team reportedly gunned down the alleged shooter.
In a report update, the Aventura Police Department informed the outlet that another shooting took place in their jurisdiction, not far from Sunny Isles, and they’re currently investigating to see if it is connected to the one opposite the Trump resort.
According to the Daily Mail, two suspects have reportedly been arrested, and police are searching for a third. Local 10 News also notes that the suspects are armed with an AK-47 and several handguns.
