Julia Roberts portrayed the role of Vivian Ward so well that it would be hard to picture another actress in her place.

However, a COSMOPOLITAN article has it that numerous star actresses like Sandra Bullock, Meg Ryan, Madonna, Kristin Davis, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Drew Barrymore were all considered to play Vivian! Being stunning and skillful actresses, they would have undoubtedly played the part well!

IT ALMOST DIDN'T HAVE THE “PRETTY WOMAN” TITLE

An essential part of Edward and Vivian’s story came when he started falling for her beautiful gimmicks. Edward, who had been labeled selfish by his former girlfriend, decided to pay Vivian $3,000 to be his companion for about six days. Vivian saw the offer like she had won a lottery and what better, it came with extra benefits like getting a classy wardrobe.

Nobody knew it, but the title of the movie was initially set to be “$3000” after the amount the pair finally agreed on. That is another strange fact, and it may have worked, but you'd agree that “Pretty Woman” is a way better title.

THIS LAST FACT WILL SHOCK YOU

When you think there couldn't be any fact more surprising than those above, you find that the movie was initially written to be a dark drama of sorts! COSMOPOLITAN reports that the plot was set to be about prostitution in LA, and Vivian would be a crack addict. So, her agreement with Edward would have included staying off drugs for the entire week she is with him.

What is even more disconcerting is that the film was going to end with Edward throwing Vivian out of his car and the latter would get a bus to visit Disneyland. Oof! Thank goodness they scrapped that plan.
