Michael Jordan's Daughter Shared First Photos of Her Newborn Son

Michael Jordan is officially a grandfather, and his daughter Jasmine recently shared the first pics of her newborn baby boy. The glowing new mom welcomed her son just in time for Mother’s Day, and friends and fans alike have been sending their best wishes to her family.

Jasmine Jordan is basking in the joy of motherhood, and she couldn’t be happier.

The 26-year-old welcomed her first child with fiancé Rakeem Christmas last week, and after sharing her pregnancy journey with fans through Instagram, it was only fair for her also to announce the arrival of the baby of her page.

Jordan shared a pic of her baby gripping onto her finger with his little hand and added in the caption: “Just In Time. I Love You Son #1stMothersDay.”

Some of Jasmine’s celebrity friends took to her comment section to congratulate her on her bundle of joy, like actress Tichina Arnold, who wrote:

“Happy 1st Mommy Day Jazzy! Welcome to the “SleepNoMore” club. Sooooo happy for you. Can’t wait to see you both. Xoxo.”

Magic Johnson’s son E.J added: “Yesss congratulations and happy Mother’s Day boo.”

And Golden State Warriors player Quinn Cook said: “Happy Mother’s Day sis!!!! Nephew is here!!! What a blessing!! Love y’all @mickijae @rakeemchristmas.”

Jasmine later shared another pic with her baby boy, this time showing more of him without revealing his face to the world yet.

In the shot, she’s laying down while her baby rest on her chest sound asleep. The boy is wearing a t-shirt and shorts, and fans pointed out how he has a head full of hair already.

“his mother,” Jasmine captioned the lovely shot, which made her fans come forward with even more encouraging and congratulatory messages.

“Gorgeous! That skin is still glowing! Motherhood looks amazing on you!” one user pointed out.

And another raved: “Congratulations!! So so happy for you, sending you guys so much love and strength!”

Last month, Jasmine shared pics of her second and last baby shower, which was a small and private affair at her Charlotte home. Among the attendees, there was proud grandfather Michael Jordan, who couldn’t stop smiling at the sight of his beautiful—then pregnant—daughter.

Jasmine may have revealed her child’s name in one of her posts from the shower. Alongside a picture of herself, Rakeem, and her NBA legend dad, Michael, she wrote:

“The R & The M to my baby, RMC.”

There was a “Baby Rakeem” sign at the party, so many people guessed Jasmine’s baby boy would be named Rakeem Michael Christmas, but she’s yet to announce the name.

Jasmine and Rakeem met in 2011 on campus at Syracuse University, and although they started as friends, with time, their relationship shifted to something more. She graduated with a degree in Sports Management, and Rakeem played for the college team.

The couple engaged in June 2018 and Jasmine revealed that her famous father was more than happy about welcoming her man on the family.

“They're almost like best friends, and it's kind of gross, but I'm happy that it was smooth sailing, and it's been great ever since,” she told InStyle back then.

Although they haven’t announced a wedding date yet, the preparations might be on hold for a while as the new parents learn to explore the intricate alleys of having a baby.
